Amp to factory stero hookup chrisfrye , I’m hooking up two more speakers and an amp. From what i’ve gathered i hook the four factory speakers to the amp, as well as my new ones, then run lines back the the factory wire harness for the 8 speaker wires. Then i drilled in the firewall to run a positive lead to my battery, then ran a ground to my chasis. Theres one last wire i have to hookup which is the power lead to turn on the amp. I’m not sure where on the harness it hookups. This is my friends car and we have the dash off now trying to figure this rediculousness.

Some people searching for information about 2 ohm wiring diagram and definitely one of these is you, is not it? There are many reasons why you are researching for details about 2 ohm wiring diagram, and surely, you are researching for new ideas for your considerations.
Travis From California: i have this hooked up to a pioneer premier 10 at 2 ohms, with the signal fed from an Alpine IVA-W This is the first mono amp I have owned so I do not have anything to compare it to in the mono department.
I remember this old radio HIFI that was stripped from a console back in the early 60s There was a 12 inch speaker and a smaller speaker I think mid range and a small sealed back cone tweeter. There was a huge power transformer on the chases and a bunch of tubes. I do not remember what the output tubes were but I do remember them being in a push pull configuration. The sound was amazing and through out the years that followed I was never able to match the sound quality with all of the solid state amps I have built or heard.
Recently with the hype on the vacuum tube single ended amp hoopla I started getting the bug and turned to the Internet for research. The transistor brought a new theory in the amplifier and speaker industries. The current fad in solid state amps was to through a lot of current at a speaker in a small sealed cabinet. I will not debate with anyone about lots or little bit of power and how they sound. As an attempt I wanted to build a tube power amp to see if I could find that good sound I heard when I was young.
The following document contains the tube amp I chose as my first tube amp.

The KPA has a somewhat unusual way of handling a clean tone, which can be confusing. The KPA can only capture a profile at a certain gain setting but allows editing the gain on the resulting rig, all the way from completely clean to fully-saturated, mushy distortion. To do this, each amp profile contains a kind of parallel pair of clean and distorted profiles.
From about 4 and below on the Gain knob, the profiles are blended inversely, and these can have a radically different volume level depending on how hot the pickups you use are. Clean Sense can be adjusted to make these roughly equal. Clean Sense should not be used to try to volume-level different rigs use the Volume Knob instead , and it does not impact changes in gain other than changing the Gain setting on the KPA.
If for instance you are using a volume pedal or using the guitar’s volume knob, Clean Sense will not affect the sound. Many people get rightfully very confused about this setting and clipping. If you’re sure you’re getting input clipping in a distorted tone, adjusting here won’t help anything – you will want to make sure the distortion you think is input clipping is not output clipping or the profile itself or a rogue setting on a Distortion effect or a strange combination of multiple distortions.
The way I like to set Clean Sense is to take a clean profile I actually use, set the Gain all the way to 0 if it’s saved at like , then strum about as hard as I ever would with the bridge humbucker active. With Clean Sense set dead center 0 db , I usually get clipping I use high-output pickups.

How to hook up a subwoofer to a stereo system Hint: You don’t necessarily need a receiver with subwoofer output jacks. Subs can provide a foundation to the sound that few speakers can muster on their own.
Bi-wiring a speaker can be a relatively inexpensive way to improve overall sound quality. Ideally, one would run two identical lengths (and type and gauge) of two-conductor wire to each speaker.
Unique to McIntosh is the use of the output autoformer. The output autoformer is said to match various speaker impedance levels to the amplifier circuits, keeping the amplifier operating within its optimum load, reducing distortion and overheating. The MC ‘s fully balanced quad-differential circuits go beyond a traditional balanced circuit topology to eliminate nearly all distortion.
Total harmonic distortion is rated at less than 0. The amplifier is protected by two systems, McIntosh’s Power Guard which prevents the amplifier from being overdriven and Sentry Monitor with Thermal Protection. All of the performance and protection features are wrapped up in a chassis that is immediately identifiable at great distance as a McIntosh.
How do I hook up my 10 inch visonik sub woofers? they have 2 connections?
One thing I learned pretty early in life is that speakers are not meant to be wired together in a haphazard manner. In fact, whenever you plan to connect more than two speakers to a two-channel amplifier — or more than four speakers to a four-channel amp — there are a few things to consider, not the least of which is the amps ability to handle low-impedance loads. Ignoring the basics is like playing Russian roulette with your amplifier:
CX Amplifier. The CX Mono Amplifier is built for big bass in a sleek, yet affordable package. Using a Class D power plant for big power in a small frame, this amp features a variable bass boost with KickEQ™, giving you as much as a 12dB of extra bump with a simple turn of the optional CXRC Remote Bass Controller.
Clear and well focused bass which never becomes excessive Against Slight sibilance which may bother some listeners With its track record in audio now exceeding three-score years and ten, Quad remains true to its original aims in offering unique audio products that are immediately recognisable. The Elite range, which over the last year or so has replaced the respected 99 Series, aims to incorporate audiophile design in small, smart and easily connected matching units, with source and amplification components sharing a basic case design.
They can all be connected with the usual phono sockets, but Quad’s default hookup is the ‘Ampbus’, a way D socket on the back of each unit which is connected to the next unit in the chain with a supplied ribbon connector, carrying balanced audio and control signals. There is a stereo power amp in the range, but for this test we chose a pair of mono amps, each rated at watts output.
There are few things simpler than a mono power amp, but these have one unusual feature in the rear-mounted switch which selects their channel from the six potentially available on Ampbus — you need to set one to ‘1’ and one to ‘2’ for stereo or you’ll get mono sound. Or use the phono input. Internally it’s very well filled with high performance op-amps and electronic switching and attenuating components, the complexity partly due to the inclusion of tone controls defeatable, of course as well as the comprehensive in and out options.
Both pre and power amps are neatly built with entirely through-hole components of good quality. Sound quality This is another amplifying ensemble where subjective performance seems to be dominated by perceived minor irregularities in the treble. In unusually analytical vein, one listener suggested that there is, paradoxically, less edge and bite to the sound, but slightly more sibilance. Perhaps not, if one accepts that the treble is actually quite a broad band and ‘edge’ and ‘sibilance’ belong to different parts of it.
Our experience is that sibilance is a function of the octave below the very top one, while the highest octave of hearing can often manifest as subjective ‘edge’ — and also, on some occasions, very much further down the spectrum, having a knock-on effect on bass. If there is any effect on the bass here, then it’s clearly very minor.
There’s an unfussy approach to bass that works well.

Review The Poll’s Results Variable Impedance This is a feature sometimes found on premium preamps that lets you adjust the electrical impedance of the preamp. The variable impedance feature gives you a range of settings, which may be useful for getting a different response out of your mics. How important is it? The bigger your mic collection, the more you may want this feature. Class “A” preamps You will probably notice many references to “Class A” preamps in product literature, but no references to what this means.
Heh, there is not a government agency certifying grades of preamps, like Grade A milk, lol.
Kemper KPA Inputs and Outputs. The front input acts like a standard guitar amp/pedalboard input. When the input is set to SPDIF, this input can still function to output a DI (unprocessed) signal for overdubs, depending on the output mode selected. Monitor Out is similar to the Main Outs, but it is a single 1/4″ connection, capable of.
No, not more than I love my wife. Just differently although if my wife could corner like my car, then all bets are off! The recipient of such affection is my Audi A4 1. It’s my first new car and I work seven days a week. Never sleep and therefore I deserve it so ptfptfptf: A little defensive about material possessions these days. Anyway, I do not love my car for the reason all of you non-German engineered car drivers are thinkin. I love my Audi because it is what it is.
If you look at it at just the right angle It looks downright aggressive. Otherwise, it looks like a nice little sports sedan. Not making any trouble unless trouble is asked for once again like me. It’s a very subtle car. This requires no driver intervention as it’s constantly monitoring traction and reapportioning power automatically.
